Tinkerbell

On June 13th, we made an addition to the household: Tinkerbell Seraphina Nicole Burkey. But you can just call her Tinkerbell or Tink. Both of the girls absolutely love her. Claire soon discovered that she can pick her up, and several days later, Lauren got brave enough as well. Lauren is the "mama cat", so she had to dress the part, of course. She still calls Tink her daughter.

Summer Update

Ok, here's the deal for the summer: another family addition (my brother's daughter, Jenna), a family reunion with my mother's side of the family in Arkansas, a weekend visit to my grandparents in Louisiana, I got to sing on the 4th of July services at our church, I taught water aerobics three times a week, we went to Randol Mill Pool twice a week, camping with my family at Lake Texoma for a very hot weekend in July, celebrated my 30th Birthday in July, participated in our local library's summer reading program and earned some fun coupons, Lauren started taking ballet and tap in August, end of summer...The End.

P.S. Will post a few pics from the above as soon as I get them off the camera to the computer, and voila, I'll be all caught up. That only took a year!

The first weekend in April my mom and sister Sarah came to town for my sis-in-law's baby shower. Lauren and my mom "chalking"what's going on out here?I like to chalk too!the girls first ferris wheel ride - Lauren loved itand Claire-Bear wasn't too thrilledThe next weekend, I planted my first garden. Tyler tilled up the grass/soil for me. This patch is actually about 6 feet by 25 feet. I planted three tomatoes, two cucumbers, six okra, six squash and six zucchini plants. There was a seperate patch over by the wheelbarrow for my three watermelon plants. Lauren is really turning into my big helper. I try to encourage this and always find something for her to do.
